Description
Camp HASC provides a summer residential program for special needs children and adults diagnosed with mental retardation, multiply handicapped, and autism. Children under the age of 21 participate in a educational program wherein each child is in a self-contained class run by NYS licensed teachers, with push in therapy and APE. Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapists who are NYS licensed, are available to provide services as well. In addition, a Feeding Therapist, who is a NYS licensed Speech and Language Pathologist, works with campers during all mealtimes. All campers participate in adaptive sports, adaptive aquatics and typical camping activities adaptive to the special needs population.
