Description

CLTC is the place for 9th – 11th graders who are starting to figure out what it means to be a leader and who want to enjoy the best parts of the teen years! Think: making friends, discovering new interests and having the most memorable summer ever. With eight sessions to choose from, each with fewer than 100 teens, participants form a community where every member can shine. Teens learn best practices in time management, public speaking and implementing fun, Jewish programming. At CLTC, participants form “mock chapters” where they plan and run programs that highlight AZA and BBG values (brotherhood, sisterhood, leadership, social action, education, Jewish heritage and more) and grow and develop as leaders and individuals. They’re also inducted as members of the BBYO International Order.

Director

Ellen Goldstein and Sherrie Stalarow

Ellen began staffing CLTC in 1997 and has been a Site Director for the last eight years. She is looking forward to her 18th summer at CLTC. Ellen is an Area Field Director for BBYO and works directly with the teens in North Carolina and Southern Virginia. She lives in Charlotte, NC and has a wonderful husband and two children who are all alum of BBYO. Sherrie began staffing CLTC in 1993 and looks forward to a 19th summer as CLTC Site Director. She has been the Senior Director of (NTO) North Texas-Oklahoma, since 1996, and held numerous BBYO staffing positions since 1982, and is a BBG alumna from Dallas. Each spring, Sherrie also directs BBYO’s March of the Living educational mission to Poland and Israel. She is most proud of her two daughters who are both BBG alums, one who attended CLTC in 1995.
